Barack Obama - Do You Really Know Him? Part 3

We're back with part three of the series on Barack Obama. If you haven't read the first 2 parts, you may want to read them. (Read PART 1 and Read PART 2) Let's get right to the next parts of this series.

5. His Association with Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground - First of all, you need to understand who Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground are. Bill Ayers was the leader of the terrorist group known as the Weather Underground, which actually declared a "state of war against the United States government" in 1970. The group plotted terrorist acts on the Pentagon, US Capitol, NYC Police Headquarters, Military Recruitment Centers and more. Quickly some of the members of the group were put on the governments Top 10 Most Wanted List. They later would go after John Murtagh and his family who was presiding over a trial regarding the Black Panthers. Bill Ayers, the leader would later marry a member of the group, Bernadine Dohrn. They were tried in 1981, but due to the misconduct of the prosecution they were not convicted.

Now, you are probably wondering, where does Obama tie in to Bill Ayers? Well, back in 1995 Bill Ayers and his wife actually held a "political coming out party" in their home for Obama. Obama also spent time serving alongside Ayers as a director for the Chicago Woods Fund, from 1999-2002. Both men have come out to speak together at various speaking engagements as well.

Obama is constantly trying to downplay the relationship with Ayers, even with the proof that he has been friendly with Ayers. In fact, Ayer's is still unrepentant about his acts of terrorism, and a statement was released from him on 9-11-2001, saying that "I don't regret setting bombs; I feel we didn't do enough."

Another tie that Obama has to Bill Ayers is the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which was a charity that was "supposed" to aid the public schools of Chicago. However, Ayers commandeered this organization in order to further promote his agenda of radicalism. Obama was later hired by Ayers to be the chairman of this organization. Here is a brief excerpt from an article in the Wall Street Journal on this topic: (read it all HERE)

"Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers's home.

The Obama campaign has struggled to downplay that association. Last April, Sen. Obama dismissed Mr. Ayers as just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis." Yet documents in the CAC archives make clear that Mr. Ayers and Mr. Obama were partners in the CAC. Those archives are housed in the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago and I've recently spent days looking through them....

The CAC's agenda flowed from Mr. Ayers's educational philosophy, which called for infusing students and their parents with a radical political commitment, and which downplayed achievement tests in favor of activism. In the mid-1960s, Mr. Ayers taught at a radical alternative school, and served as a community organizer in Cleveland's ghetto....

CAC translated Mr. Ayers's radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with "external partners," which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).

Mr. Obama once conducted "leadership training" seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama's early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC's in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement....

Mr. Ayers's defenders claim that he has redeemed himself with public-spirited education work. That claim is hard to swallow if you understand that he views his education work as an effort to stoke resistance to an oppressive American system. He likes to stress that he learned of his first teaching job while in jail for a draft-board sit-in. For Mr. Ayers, teaching and his 1960s radicalism are two sides of the same coin....

The Obama campaign has cried foul when Bill Ayers comes up, claiming "guilt by association." Yet the issue here isn't guilt by association; it's guilt by participation. As CAC chairman, Mr. Obama was lending moral and financial support to Mr. Ayers and his radical circle. That is a story even if Mr. Ayers had never planted a single bomb 40 years ago."

There is no way that Obama can keep side-stepping these ties to Bill Ayers. Americans should be outraged at a candidate that has so many ties to a man like Bill Ayers - a terrorist that is unrepentant. He has constantly downplayed these ties, never owning up to all the associations with this man, which makes me wonder why he is so interested in hiding this. Bill Ayers is a man who still believes he is RIGHT. There is a huge danger when people like this think they are right. We cannot afford a president that has these ties…these are facts people. What can we expect from Barack Obama once he gets into the White House when he is associated with known terrorists? Well, let's do our part to make sure we don't find out.

Barack Obama - Do You Really Know Him? PART 2

Welcome back to American Politics for the Conservative Woman. Last time we started touching on some of the things hidden in Barack Obama's past that really haven't been brought to light by the mainstream media. We touched on his college years and a bit on his time as a community organizer. However, there's much more to Barack Obama that you don't know, and before you make your way to the polls on November 4^th, you need to take a good look at this man. So, here is part two of "Barack Obama - Do You Really Know Him? (read part 1 HERE if you missed it.)

3. Why Obama Left a Great Job in NY to Become a Community Organizer - Barack Obama doesn't want you to know why he really left NY to become a community organizer in Chicago. In fact, he has even stated himself that he didn't know what a community organizer was when he first got started - yet, he continues to say that this was something that has prepared him to be President. Who really leaves a great paying job paying $50-60k a year in NY to go to Chicago to take up a job as community organizer, especially when they supposedly have know idea what that job is?

Andy Martin, who is a journalist and author of "Obama - The Man Behind the Mask," has done research and believes that Obama actually was "in training for radical overthrow of the government" when he was involved in community organizing. Martin feels that Obama was already influenced by radicals during college and went to Chicago to possibly become a part of a political movement. In fact Martin's research also brings up that more than likely Obama actually had ties to Bill Ayers, the terrorist during the community organizing days, and perhaps this was actually just a test by Ayers to see how Obama would do. It was during this time as community organizer that he built up ties and was exposed to people like Khalid Al Mansour and Louis Farrakhan, who is the "Supreme Minister" of the Nation of Islam. He also was exposed to the radical priest, Phleger, during this time as well. (We'll explore these ties further in the future.)

So, was Obama organizing a community? Or…was Obama organizing a career, based in radicalism?

4. His Ties to Antoin Rezko - The Rezko connection is one that many people have not heard of yet. Wondering who Antoin Rezko is? Well, Rezko is the creator of a Chicago area real estate development company. He recently was brought up on charges of "influence-peddling" for allegedly demanding that a firm pay a fee for services or "donate" $1.5 million to a public official. Now, you're probably wondering how this all ties in to Obama.

Well, Obama's ties to Rezko go back some time. Rezko has actually been an Obama supporter and has even donated to Obama's campaign. In fact, when Obama was in the state Senate in Illinois, he actually wrote letters to support the Rezko Development. However, Obama's ties to Rezko go even further than that.

Back in 2005, Obama purchased a piece of real estate in an elite area of Chicago, and it happens to be right next to a piece of property that Rezko's wife purchased on the very same day. Accident? Well, Obama says it is…However, the story continues…after making this purchase, Obama decided that he wanted a yard that was a little larger and asked to purchase a piece of land from the Rezko's, which they allowed. He paid $104,50 for the small piece of land; however, the value of this land was actually appraised for only $40,500. So, why would Obama pay more than $60,000 more for a piece of land?

Not only did this occur, but Obama has actually hired landscapers to take care of his own lawn as well as the lawn of the Rezko's. A fence had to be built, and instead of the Rezko's paying for the fence, which was required by city code, Obama paid for this fence to be built. It's interesting to see all the favors that Obama has been doing the Rezko family, saying that he merely "forgot" to have the family pay him back.

Now Rezko is known to be a "political fixer" and this is the type of person that Obama has had ties with? He's raised money for Obama and Obama has apparently done several favors for Rezko. Now Rezko is going to a federal prison, and even if Obama didn't do anything wrong, he obviously hangs out with the wrong crowd. If he can't choose his friends wisely, what makes people think he'd be a great president?

Barack Obama - Do You Really Know Him? Part 1

Barack Obama. He draws crowds, gives compelling speeches, and promotes "true change." However, how much do the American people really know about this man? Before you vote in November, it's important that you know the truth. Since there are actually many scandals and hidden problems in Obama's past, we'll have to break this up into several blog posts, so here is part 1.

1. He Doesn't Want You to Know About His College Years - Obama started out at Occidental College in California, but has called that time a "dead end." Then he went on to go to New York to attend Columbia University. However, he's working hard to keep this time a secret, blocking the release of his transcripts. Obama has actually admitted that during this time he did drugs "enthusiastically." During his time at Columbia, his roommate was from Pakistan, who was deeply involved in drugs. After Columbia, Obama went on to Harvard, and he will not allow transcripts to be released from his Harvard years either. Not even his senior thesis can be found. The title was "Soviet Nuclear Disarmament." So, one has to wonder what Obama is trying to hide from all these years of college.

In fact, many actually wonder at how Obama ended up at Harvard. In an interview with a news station, Percy Sutton (attorney for Malcom X) actually stated that he was asked by Dr. Khalid Al Mansour, who is a radical extremest and who has ties to the government of Saudi Arabia, to help get Obama into Harvard. Mansour is also well known for his radicalism against Israel.

Here's what Obama himself said about his college years:

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout,I chose my friends carefully.The more politically active black students.The foreign students.The Chicanos.The Marxist Professors and the structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets.At night,in the dorms,we discussed neocolonialism,Franz Fanon,Eurocentrism,and patriarchy.When we ground out our cigarettes in the hallway carpet or set our stereos so loud that the walls began to shake,we were resisting bourgeois society's stifling constraints.We weren't indifferent or careless or insecure. We were alienated."

2. What he "REALLY" Was Involved in as a Community Organizer - Although the idea that Obama was a community organizer sounds fine to most people to start out with, most don't realize that during his community organizing days, he had ideological ties to the radical, Saul Alinsky, the author of "Rules for Radicals." (Read more about Alinsky and excerpts from his book HERE)

Although Alinsky and Obama never met, it is clear that Obama was greatly influenced by him during his community organizing days. In fact, Obama actually wrote an article back in 1988 on Alinksy that would later become a chapter in his book. Read it HERE. Much of this chapter is very similar to what you'll find in the book by Alinsky "Rules for Radicals."

Not only did Obama adhere to the ideology of Alinsky, but he also attended socialist activities and speeches during this time. However, while we know a little about his ties, Obama says very little about these years as well. It appears that Obama has not only a background in radicalism but socialism as well that he is trying to keep hidden from the American people.

Think about this and take the time to watch the first part of Hannity's America on this topic. Then ask yourself...is this who you want to be the president of your country? Don't forget....part 2 will come tomorrow.

The Vice Presidential Debate: Joe Biden Get's Carried Away

Did you watch the VP debate on Thursday night? If so, you may have been impressed at how Palin handled herself and with the "substance" of Joe Biden's answers. However, although many people were initially impressed with the "meaty" answers that Biden was throwing out, analysis the next morning showed Biden's answers were actually full of holes and even outright lies. Of course it's important that the American people get the REAL truth. So, here's an outline of some of the lies or inaccuracies that Biden tried to feed the American people in the debate.

"1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.

2. AHMADINEJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.

3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said,“Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”

4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.

6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org , Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.

7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people's health insurance coverage -- they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false

8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska -- she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it's not a windfall profits tax.

9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO's International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.

10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation -- he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.

11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

12. TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

13. BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.”

14. REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won't pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan."

Now, if Biden will tell 14 lies in a debate....do we really want him in the White House???? You decide....

Politics and Music: Do They Really Go Together

On October 16th, 2008, politics and music are going to come together. Why? For the democratic party and Senator Obama. Both Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen are going to be playing together at a benefit concert for presidential hopeful - Barack Obama.

While you may have recently gone to a Springsteen or Billy Joel concert yourself, more than likely you didn't end up paying the prices that this concert will command. Tickets for this concert are actually selling for $500 as a minimum, going all the way up to $10,000 for some of the best tickets.

Now, one may wonder...should music and politics really be brought together in this manner?

My answer is YES! Whether you agree with Barack Obama or not, as you look through the past years of music in America, you'll find that music and politics cannot be separated. Sure, people have paid the price for getting political with their careers, and even with their lives as musicians, but this has never stopped them.

Music includes so many other parts of every day life that it's easy to see why musicians enjoy bringing politics into their music.

However, the problem comes when music is merely used as a political drawing point, instead of music taking politics and really having something intelligent to say about it.

Sure, no doubt this concert will be a blast. However, will the music say anything new? Will Springsteen and Joel introduce new music with a political spin, showing their political beliefs? Well, I think Aerosmith said it best...."Dream On!"
