It probably comes as no surprise to you, that once again our President has angered me. It happens daily, but today I'm not just angry for me - I'm angry for 3000+ American Heroes that have been neatly swept under the carpet. Yes, I'm talking about all those who lost their lives on 09-11-01.
Apparently, Mr. Obama has decided that today will be a big "National Day of Service" instead of a memorial to those who lost their lives in the 9-11 attacks. Today Obama and his cronies will be attempting to take 9-11 "back from the right" by making it a day of service. Of course, these groups involved in the National Day of Service happen to be some of the most left-wing unsavory groups out there. Groups involved include ACORN, Color of Change, RainbowPUSH Coalition, Young Democrats of America, and Apollo Alliance. Instead of a day to reflect and remember, this day is being changed into a day of "service," political activism, and media focus on left wing nuts.
No longer do we have 9-11, but a National Day of Service. There is no longer a Global War on Terror with Obama in office, but it is now dubbed the "Overseas Contingency Operations." I've seen slogans all over the web, saying "Never Forget," but all Obama seems to be saying with his changes to this important day is "Please Forget." After all, he's the one that wants to humanize those behind these attacks, make them our friends, give them rights, and ultimately release them.
I am angry for all those who lost their lives, and those who gave their lives on 9-11. To merely be turned into a day of service is despicable. There were heroes that day. Those who helped others escape, the courageous New York City firemen, and men like Todd Beamer on Flight 93, whose response to certain death was a courageous "Let's Roll!"
How can our president overlook the tragedy and the courage that came out of the terrorist (yes I said terrorist) attacks? We can't afford to forget these people who died and we definitely can't afford to forget those who were responsible for those deaths. If we forget, it will most definitely happen again.
I, for one, remember exactly where I stood on 09-11-01 when the first plane hit. I have never forgotten the horror, grief, and anger of that day - and I never will. Today I'm STILL remembering 9-11, and it's no National Day of Service to me. It's a day to remember, to shed a tear, and to renew my resolve to do what I can against terror in the United States by using my vote to get people like Obama and his liberal congressional cronies out of office.
To all those who lost their lives…there are still some of us out here that haven't forgot you. We remember what you did for our country. We remember your death and we remember those you left behind. And…to those who did this…we haven't forgot you either and we're coming! Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday soon. You may have a friend in Obama right now, but that WILL change and as long as there are people like me here, you will never be safe - "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue!"
P.S. Take time to watch the videos...and remember!

Obama - The Big Bully on the Playground
As most of you know, I've sadly neglected this blog for some time, but there have been many who have been wanting me to start posting again, so I've decided to get back into it.
There are a variety of reasons that I had stopped posting for awhile:
1. I was really mad that over 50% of this country was stupid enough to vote in Barack Obama.
2. I ended up in the hospital, which made me stop for some time.
3. I really haven't known where to go with the blogs, because so many things make me upset about this new administration.
However, due to popular demand, we're back here at Politics For Conservative Women, and boy do I have a lot to say.
Let me start out by saying…I'm really, really, really mad. I'm mad at this country, mad at the president, and mad at congress. While I'm very angry at what is happening in this country, I'm even more angry at people who sat idly by and let this happen. Come on, it's taken until the past few months for people to see what Obama's really all about? Seriously…they should have seen that BEFORE they elected him…but I digress from today's topic - Obama - The Big Bully on the Playground.
Since Obama took office, I have found so many things that make me angry that it's hard to touch on just one. I have noticed though, that he seems to act like the big bully on the playground. He storms through like the bully who walks over to the kid in the sandbox working on a castle, kicking over the hard work in a single blow. He's like the bully that goes over and knocks over the stack of building blocks that someone else has been working on for so long.
Unfortunately, Obama is doing this to the building blocks of this country. He's knocking over some of the building blocks that make this country strong. He's going after the building blocks of free speech, the right to bear arms, and the pursuit of happiness. Obama's been trying to bully through things like nationalized healthcare, higher taxes for small businesses, huge amounts of spending on big companies, and cap and trade, to name a few.
Frankly, I'm sick of it. The crazy part is that when people stand up to this bully, they are the ones in the wrong according to the liberal media. People who sound out the news like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck are called right wing extremists, and people are claiming that the protests at town hall meetings are merely staged.
Ridiculous if you ask me. I'm thinking it's time that people stand up to this government. I still believe that we have a voice, but now is not the time to keep it quiet. It's time to get vocal. Who cares if you are dubbed the town extremist. Our country is falling apart like a stack of building blocks, and I for one will not sit by and let this bully ruin everything that our forefathers have worked so hard to build.
What are you doing? Have you contacted your congressmen? Have you signed government petitions? Are you getting the word out there about what's going on in politics? If you're not doing anything, you are just as responsible for the problem.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men [or women] to do nothing." This is so true. Are you doing something to help make a difference, or are you allowing evil to triumph in this country?

America Fights Back…Coming to a Tea Party Near You
Finally! Americans are beginning to fight back. In the spirit of revolutionaries from more than 200 years ago, Americans are going back to the Tea Party. It was back in 1773 when the first Boston Tea Party took place. They tossed British crates of tea into the water, protesting the taxes from the British. Well, once again people are outraged and sending a message to government by way of the Tea Party.
While no one is tossing out crates of tea, Tea Parties are being held all over the country to protest Obama's spending bills. This movement got started right after the multi billion stimulus plan was signed by Obama and is known as the American Tea Party movement.
Once this movement got started, it caught on like wild fire. Already several Tea Parties have been held, and there are quite a few more that are scheduled. Just a few of the places that these Tea Party protests are taking place include Raleigh, Cincinnati, Little Rock, Boston, Orlando, Tampa, Salt Lake City, Boise, Maui, Harrisburg, Cleveland, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Pasadena, Green Bay, Lafayette, Tucson, Monterey, Chicago, and Phoenix.
Of course most of the main stream media is not covering these events. The only two so far to offer coverage are FOX News and CNN. However, this hasn't stopped people from getting the word out there. You can find reports on political blogs, video on YouTube, and pictures all over the web. Protesters have decided they won't do this quietly.
Personally, I'm thinking that it's about time that this is happening. Americans have been silent too long already. I'm excited that people are realizing that they DO have a voice. I've been afraid for some time that the American people might just let socialism creep in before they realized it. I'm happy to find out I was wrong. There are people willing to do something and I'm one of them.
I'll be attending the Tea Party in my area in a few weeks. I'm going to be taking advantage of my right to protest. While I know there are those out there that will probably say we "shouldn't protest the government" I disagree. We have to protest. If we are silent, we are just as guilty. We must not be silent. I challenge my readers - find a Tea Party near you. Go!!! Make your voice heard. There's a Tea Party coming to a city near you…where will you be???
Here are a few pictures of Tea Parties that have already taken place. I hope they will inspire you!

Obama…So Many Mistakes…So Little Time
It's March. Only March. In so little time, no other President of this country has managed to make so many mistakes. Obama has definitely proved that many were right with their fears of him going through "on the job training." So far, in my book, he's getting a big fat "F" in his training.
After all, we all make mistakes, but really…how many mistakes do you have to make there Mr. President? It's getting ridiculous. He almost makes the amateurish Clinton mistakes look petty. Americans should be more worried than ever about this President ever handling a real crisis, such as 9/11. Here's a few of the recent mistakes Obama has been making.
Mistake #1 - Picking "Schoolyard" Fights with Pundits
Since when did Presidents focus their attention on fights with pundits? It's like a silly fight in the schoolyard. Apparently the Obama Administration thinks it needs to go out there and spend valuable time criticizing the Sean Hannity's and the Rush Limbaugh's out there. The very thought that anyone would criticize the president. The audacity. Watch out folks…freedom of speech is about to go out the window. Since when did Obama have the time to even care what people were saying? I thought he had his hands full with the economy?
Mistake #2 - Not Understanding What "Vetting" Is
Apparently "vetting" is a term that President Obama just doesn't understand. It's about time that he learn the meaning. After all, the guy still doesn't have all the positions filled. People keep "reconsidering" or quitting because they have legal problems coming to light. Half the people he picks end up in tax investigations. I guess he's giving us a clue about the people he enjoys keeping company with. No wonder we have a bad economy!
Mistake #3 - Blowing Off Eastern European Countries - Czech Republic and Poland
While Bush 43 spent so much time working on better ties with countries in Easter Europe, especially the Czech Republic and Poland, Obama has been trying to "secretly" blow off these countries. He sent a letter off to Dmitri Medvedev saying that they'd leave these two countries without missile defense if only Russia would help to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Of course Russian didn't go with the deal, and the letter became public knowledge. Now these two countries know that Obama was willing to sell them off to the Russians who already are intimidating these countries. Absurd!
Mistake #4 - Continuing to Ruin Ties with Britain
Of course then there is the way that President Obama continues to ruin the ties we have with Britain. Britain is one of our greatest allies…or that is they WERE. As I've mentioned before in a post, Obama made a huge deal about sending back their Churchill Bust that was a gesture of goodwill. Then he treats the British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, very badly while he was visiting. The press conference they were supposed to have together was totally blown off by Obama, and then he gives the PM a set of DVDs of classic American movies after being given a gift that was priceless - a pen holder that was made from the timbers from the HMS President, which was a British warship from the 19th century. It's not hard to see why Britain was offended. It appears that Obama doesn't want much to do with Britain…he's too busy courting and wooing those Middle Eastern countries and all his Muslim relatives.
Mistake #5 - Bad Mouthing the Economy and Creating More of a Crisis
Last of all, President Obama continues to bad mouth the economy at every turn. Instead of giving Americans hope, all he does is talk the country and economy down. He's always talking about a crisis, and meanwhile he's making a bigger crisis. It seems that the more he talks ( not to mention when the tax cheat Geithner talks) the stock market continues to go down. We have seen the lowest numbers since 1997 (Clinton was in Office) in the past few days, and Obama has definitely been one to help it get there. Even Democrats with financial knowledge recognize that Obama is making a bad problem worse.
Of course I don't have time to tell you about all Obama's mistakes...I don't think Blogger will let me post that much at once. These are just a few of the big ones. What do you think? Do you want a president that makes mistakes at every turn? I Don't!!!

Rush Limbaugh Attacked by Steele - RNC Leader Makes Big Mistake
Michael Steele, the new head of the RNC, has spend the last few weeks talking about how he wants to take the Republican party forward and make changes to bring the party together. Then came Rush's excellent speech at CPAC, the one that put other Republicans to shame…suddenly Steele shows a different side of his personality.
Rahm Emmanuel, D.L. Hughley, and even Obama himself began to talk about Rush as the head of the Republican party and as their enemy. Well, Steel goes on the defensive and opens his mouth saying this "Let's put it into context here. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh, the whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it's incendiary, yes, it's ugly --" This is what Steele had to say about Rush after his amazing speech at CPAC.
Frankly I was stunned to hear this. I expected more from Steele. He's simply done what the Democrats wanted him to do…he drove a big rift in the party. His comments also make conservatives wonder if Steele is really such a conservative himself. After all, the man won't even criticize President Obama. Whose side is Steele really on?
Sure, Steele later came out and made an apology to Rush, but the damage has been done. He's spoken out against one of the most well known conservative voices out there. Rush is so much more than the "entertainer" that Steele made him out to be. Rush is a passionate conservative who actually speaks out about what he believes in. He is well spoken, and can make a wonderful speech without the teleprompter that our current president clings too.
Steel would do well to remember that Rush has 22+ million listeners every single day. There are a lot of people who feel the same way Rush does. There are still conservatives out there.
If Steele's comments recently are showing what he will be like as a leader of the RNC, then I may have to rethink my membership of the Republican party. As I've mentioned before, perhaps it's time that a new party emerges. It's time that conservatives take things back here. The Republican party has been bastardized by ridiculous moderates who want to be liberals in Republican clothing. Now they even vote with our ridiculous liberal President that wants to incorporate socialism.
I recently read what Rush had to say on Steele's comments. He definitely made some great comments and great points. Read it yourself HERE. He closed with the thought that a sleeping "conservative giant" has been awakened. I only pray that he is right. Unless conservatives wake up and band together, I cringe to think about the fate of this country.
In conclusion, there is one lesson that we should learn here - the power of your voice. One speech by one man has started such a controversy. Perhaps it is what will be needed to get conservatives in action. Perhaps it will be a reminder that each voice can make a difference in America. However, to make a difference, you actually have to use your voice, not sit back and be silent while the country falls to pieces. Edmund Burke said it so well, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Obama Promises Bipartisanship
Obama has promised throughout his campaign and even through his short presidency that he would "reach across the isle" to the Republicans. Well, this turned out to be one of his promises turned lies…one of the many!
He continues to pretend that he is reaching out. He even went around hugging the Republicans at his first address to Congress. If I were a Republican in Congress, I would have thrown up at the pathetic and sugary way he tried to play the bipartisan president. Sorry Mr. President - bipartisanship takes more than just hugging people of the opposite party.
Basically what President Obama means by "bipartisanship" is that you agree with me and we'll all be friends. Otherwise he'll try to convince the media that you just won't work with anyone. It appears that when he wants to be bipartisan, he doesn't want to reach across the isle, he wants everyone to come on over to his side of the isle.
If the Republicans are smart, they'll stay as far away as possible from his ideas and bills. Otherwise they are as guilty as he is!

10 Things that Make You Go Hmmmmm About the "Obama Era"
You've more than likely heard about the things that make you go hmmmmm. Well, I've come up with my list of 10 for the Obama era. Read them and no doubt your response will also be "hmmmmm."
#10 - The Largest Spending Bill Ever - The stimulus bill that was recently passed was the largest spending bill that has ever been proposed and passed. Of course Obama still proclaims he's going to take control of the deficit. Doubtful!
#9 - ACORN Will Never Be Investigated - While there is evidence that ACORN was involved in voter fraud, it will never be investigated - at least not while Obama is president.
#8 - Socialism Has Become a Savior - In the past months all we hear is doom and gloom talk about our economy. However, Obama and his "cronies" always like to bring out that becoming more like Europe (essentially a style of socialism) would supposedly keep the U.S. from going through another depression.
#7 - Obama Has Broken Practically Ever Campaign Promise - In just over a month as president, Obama has broken almost all of the promises that he has made…and people thought Bush broke promises??? So much for big tax cuts, so much for cutting the deficit, so much for transparency for Washington. None of it has happened.
#6 - Many Moderate Republicans Continue to Go Along with Democratic Policies - The party has been destroyed by some of these "moderate" republicans in the past few years. They continue to do so by pushing democratic policies, such as big government and big spending. In fact, some of them even voted for the stimulus bill instead of holding out. If the three republicans in the senate had not voted for the bill, it would not have passed.
#5 - Obama Worship - People literally worship Obama. It's ridiculous. He's just another politician, full of lies, yet many people literally worship him. Not only is it disgusting…it's also very sad.
#4 - The Treasury Secretary is a Tax Cheat - Tim Geithner, who is now the Treasury Secretary can't even deal with his own taxes. He's a known tax cheat, and now he's in charge of the treasury….hmmmmm.
#3 - The Government has Destroyed the Banking Industry and Wants to Nationalize It - It was the government that help to destroy the banking industry. Now they are using this problem to now try to nationalize banks. Like we really need the government controlling banks. They've done enough damage.
#2 - We Now Spend Billions Rewarding Those that Don't Pay Their Mortgages - With the new stimulus bill and the new housing bills out there, people who don't pay their mortgages are getting rewarded. They get a huge break, funded by the rest of us working hard to pay our own bills. Perhaps they shouldn't have purchased homes they couldn't afford.
#1 - Without the Stimulus Bill We Could Have Ended the Recession Earlier - New reports are showing that we could have been out of the recession by the middle of this year. Experts actually believe that the stimulus bill could extend the recession even longer. 2010 may still see us in a deep recession…I just hope the right people get the blame.
Things that make you go hmmmmm!

"We are not Quitters" - A Look at Obama's Address to Congress
I'm sure many of you heard or watched President Obama's address to Congress last night. It was painful for me, since I've never been a fan of listening to the man's speeches. However, I was struck with one thing about his speech - his stories.
This is one story that Obama told last night regarding 8th grader Ty'Sheoma Bethea:
"I think about Ty'Sheoma Bethea, the young girl from that school I visited in Dillon, South Carolina - a place where the ceilings leak, the paint peels off the walls, and they have to stop teaching six times a day because the train barrels by their classroom. She has been told that her school is hopeless, but the other day after class she went to the public library and typed up a letter to the people sitting in this room. She even asked her principal for the money to buy a stamp. The letter asks us for help, and says, 'We are just students trying to become lawyers, doctors, congressmen like yourself and one day president, so we can make a change to not just the state of South Carolina but also the world. We are not quitters.'"
I must admit, I had conflicting thoughts about this story. On the one hand, the story was touching. I must admit, President Obama has always done well at picking out stories for his speeches. The idea that an 8th grader would write to Congress and the President for help was interesting, touching, and her quote, "We are not quitters," is even inspirational. However, let me tell you about my other thoughts.
One hundred years ago, students didn't write to Congress for help. It's a sign of the times we live in that a student would even think to write to Congress for bailout help for their school. Through the 200+ years that this country has been around, many kids have attended schools in less than perfect conditions. They did not quit. They became doctors and lawyers, congressmen, and even president. Yet the didn't have to ask Congress and the President for help.
I don't mean to make light of this girl's story. However, I have to wonder when we became a nation that always ran to the government for help. Making a change in the world is a wonderful thing…why should government help be needed to do it. I believe this story sadly shows that many of the youth in our country seem to have a huge dependence on the government to help them realize their dreams. This is NOT the American dream. The American dream includes making your own way, following your own dream, and achieving it on your own.
Let's just take a look at Abraham Lincoln, since he appears to be one of Obama's favorites. Look at this man's beginnings. He was born in a log cabin with one room in Kentucky. He had poor parents. His mother died while he was young. Lincoln actually only had about a year of "formal education." He learned what he could from others and from books. Still…he became the 16th president of the United States…and no one "bailed" him out with money from the government.
These bailouts have to go. The youth of this nation must learn to "Never quit" even without help from the government. Greatness is something that comes from within - it has nothing to do with the school building you have, the teachers you have, or the amount of money your school district gets from the government.
I would definitely urge today's youth to never give up. Work towards a future where you can change the world. Just don't expect the government to be the one to help you accomplish this. Over time I've heard too many kids try to blame their school, their neighborhood, or their poverty for where they ended up in life. Life is what you make of it. You choose who you become. Let's stop looking for the government to define our success. Let's get back to the REAL American Dream!

Obama Coddles Muslims and Insults Britain, One of Our Greatest Allies
With all of President Obama's coddling of the Muslims these days, one very small story has gone by almost unnoticed. While he has been making "nicey nice" with Muslim leaders, he decided to send Winston Churchill's bust back to the UK.
The bronze bust of Churchill has been on loan to the United States from the UK for the past eight years. They offered to allow Obama to continue to keep the bust for another four years as a gesture of good will. Obama sent it back.
It appears that Obama doesn't want to have Churchill around. Of course that's not hard to believe with the strong stance Churchill has always taken against Socialism. Here's what Churchill had to say about socialism:
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill
Some British officials are not quite sure how to take this rejection of their offer. It was given to President George W. Bush right after 9/11 as a sign of solidarity and a relationship between the two countries.
Now you have to wonder, will these bonds between the United States and the UK continue to be so strong? Is this a message to the UK that Obama doesn't want anything to do with them? Have we just offended one of our strongest allies?
You definitely have to wonder why Obama would reject such an offer from the UK. He plays the nice card with Muslims, telling them that America wants better relations with them. Meanwhile he insults the British…
What do you think?

President Obama Wants to Give You $13
Well, the "stimulus" bill passed. Sadly.
A look at the 1000+ page bill found a lot of spending and very little tax cuts. However, there is good news. If you make less than $75,000 a year, you will get a tax cut. In fact, this year you'll get a tax cut that will average out to about $13 a week. Of course next year in 2010 that tax cut goes down, and you'll only be getting about $7 a week back.
What a tax break! (right) Wondering what that money can get you? Well, I wanted to give you a visual on all that our president is offering you. Below you'll find pictures of what you can get for $13, and things you can get for $7. You'll be shocked at the generosity of Mr. Obama.
For $13 you can get the things in either of these two pictures:
For $7, in 2010 you'll get your choice of these things:
Now don't you feel much better about that stimulus bill???

"The Hand that Rocks the Cradle Rules the World" - Well…We Have a Problem in the USA
More than likely you've heard the quote, "the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." Well folks, this could be the reason we're in so much trouble these days. Hands don't rock cradles anymore, they kill babies. Perhaps one of our main problems in America today!
Back in 2006, in Haleah, Florida a baby died. In today's world, there's nothing spectacular about that. Babies die by the millions…the world goes on. It's sick! So, you may be wondering, what made this baby make the news?
Well, this baby was actually born in an abortion clinic. The mother was 23 weeks along, and while waiting for the doctor, she actually had the baby. The baby was alive, breathing, a new human in this world. You will be appalled at what happened to this baby.
People in the clinic put the living baby in a biohazard bag, threw it out, and that's where this baby died. However, we probably would not have heard of this travesty had the mother not actually sued the clinic, the staff at the clinic, and the doctor. Believe it or not, the doctor may be under a criminal investigation.
I am horrified at this. To imagine a baby thrown out in a bio hazard bag… Even those on the pro-choice side were horrified. However, I have to wonder, why are those same people not horrified when babies are slaughtered by the thousands every single day? What hypocrisy.
So, is it any wonder our country is such a mess today. Hands no longer rock the cradle any more, they are too busy having abortions. Babies have become nothing more than an "unwanted tumor" to be removed, which is what they are referred to as in abortion clinics.
As a conservative woman, this is an issue near and dear to my heart. Every time I vote, I vote with human life in mind. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, more precious in this world than life.
Today we have a president who believes that it is "above his pay grade" to decide when human life begins. Apparently it's above his IQ as well. Let me set the record straight - life begins at conception! One celled organisms are considered life. Well, when a baby is conceived, it is two cells…so that's a life!
P.S. I know some readers may feel offended at the graphic picture. Good! I want you to be appalled, horrified, stunned. This is what is real folks. Look at it. Let it reach your soul. I hope you feel sick like I did when I first saw it. Remember, this is what our country is doing by the thousands every day!

When Breaking the Law Becomes a Mere "Mistake"
In the past few days, if you've been following the news, you've heard a whole lot about mistakes. Funny, I've heard about criminals breaking the law, but when it comes to Democrats in the past few days, they have only been making mistakes.
Take a look at Timothy Geithner, Tom Daschle, Nancy Killefer, and even Charlie Rangel. They've all made mistakes. Geithner, who has been confirmed as Secretary of the Treasury (shame on you Republicans who allowed this) made a mistake that came out to $34,000 in taxes he didn't pay…or should I say he "Forgot" to pay them.
Then there's Tom Daschle, who ended up withdrawing his name from being Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. He made such a big mistake that he ended up having to pay more than $140,000, which includes interest, to the IRS.
Of course then Nancy Killefer had to withdraw from being the chief performance officer because she made a big mistake and didn't pay the payroll taxes for the help in her home. Then you have Charlie Rangel, he's on the House Ways and means Committee, and he didn't pay his takes either…another mistake?
Funny how these criminal activities have simply been turned into mistakes. If you or I didn't pay our taxes, I doubt we'd get away with calling it a mistake.
Even President Obama himself referred to Tom Daschle's offenses as a mistake, saying: "Tom made a mistake…" Remember, Obama was the one who said during his campaign that he would run the "most ethical administration in history." Interesting how he ends up picking out people who make so many mistakes.
So, I have to wonder…how many more mistakes are we going to see in the next four years?

The New RNC Chairman - Where Will Steel Take Us?
As an avid member of the Republican Party, as always I am concerned about where the party is going. Just a few days ago the party elected a new leader - Michael Steele. This is the very first African American to be chair of the party.
Mike Duncan, who was the previous chairman, had this to say about the party after voting three times with no conclusion: "The winds of changes are blowing at the RNC." He then withdrew his name, and finally after vote number six, Steele came out the winner.
Now I must say, the phrase that Duncan said "the winds of change are blowing" kind of scares me. After all, all we heard about in the last election was about "change" and look where that got us. Obama ran on change and McCain tried to talk about change too.
After the last election, it definitely shows that we need something different in the Republican Party. Perhaps new blood? A new leader? The party has been fractured greatly. One RNC member, Hank Werronen, said "…The party isn't sure where they want to go." That again scares me a bit. We need to have a clear vision of where we are going.
So, now we have a leader. Michael Steele. The question is, does he know where we are going as a party? Where will he take us?
As republicans we've had trouble in the past few years communicating our message. Why? Well, I think that's because we aren't real sure of our message anymore. We keep seeing people in the party who decide to be "Moderate" Republicans. Some seem to have the idea that if the party becomes more moderate that we'll somehow become more popular. Sorry folks…it doesn't work that way.
I believe that Americans are crying for a Republican party that will truly STAND for something. Let's not be "moderates" with no real direction. Instead, we need to define who we are as a party again. Forget trying to be moderate on issues. For years republicans have stood strong on important issues like abortion, gun rights, religion, and more. It's not time to abandon those issues to become "Moderates."
A look at Steele shows an eloquent man. He has the ability to be able to articulate what we stand for as a party. I just hope he doesn't forget what we should be standing for! From his speeches, it sounds like Steele is ready to do something. He's ready to make changes. In fact, he has said "…to those of you who wish to obstruct, get ready to get knocked over."
As long as he's running in the right direction, I don't care if he knocks people over. I just hope he's not making a mad dash for the middle of the road. That's a good place to get run over. Let's stick to the right, to our republican views, to conservatism. Change is good if we have a sense of purpose and direction. However, change for the sake of change never did anyone any good. (Just look at Obama!)

Obama's Bouncing the U.S. Checkbook - Here's a Look at the "Overdraft" Fees You'll Be Paying
Just yesterday Obama's "stimulus" package, known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, or H.R. 1, was passed by the United States House of Representatives. Now this is Obama's answer for our economy, the package that is supposed to save us from a disastrous economy.
Well, I have news for you, there's nothing real stimulating about this package - well, except for the fact it's stimulating a lot of anger with Republicans. You see, this bill is going to cost at least $1 trillion (yes that's trillion) dollars over time. That's not a trillion dollars in government money, it's a trillion dollars of YOUR money.
It's easy to see that Obama's bouncing the U.S. Checkbook with this useless bill that he thinks will stimulate the economy and get us back on track. Well, the only thing that's going to happen here is that we are going to be paying all the "overdraft" fees in the next few years.
Interested in getting a look at those "overdraft" fees that you'll be paying if this bill goes through? Here's a look at some of the spending that is included in H.R. 1.
- For STD Prevention - $400 million
- For Honey Bee Insurance - $150 million
- To Support Supercomputing Activities - $70 million
- For the Removal of Fish Passage Barriers - $20 million
- The Rehabilitation of Off Roading Trails - $25 million
- Department of Commerce Renovation - $34 million
This is where your money will be going. Supposedly this is going to create jobs. What do you think? Where exactly is the stimulus in this bill? Yes, I'm sure this is going to help out the "common" people that Barack Obama so liked to identify with during his pre-election days.
So, get ready folks. You'll soon be paying the overdraft fees as Obama continues to overdraft the American checkbook again and again. Don't look for any refunds either…

Excuse Me Mr. President........It's Me...The United States of America...
"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." - Presidential Oath of Office
By now you've probably heard the news of President Obama's first interview. Maybe it's just me, (probably not) but I'm a bit put out. Obama chooses his first television interview to be to Al-Arabiya television? He'd rather speak to the Arab world than to his own people? Now pardon me if I'm wrong, (probably not) but isn't he supposed to be the President of the United States of America? (I know, I'd rather not admit it either)
I'm finding myself a bit confused. I thought that Obama promised to be the President of the United States in his oath of office, garbled though it was. So, why may I ask has he decided that he first and foremost needs to speak to his "family," the Muslim people in Arab countries? I guess all the people that elected him, and those with brains who didn't, don't matter much to Mr. Obama…at least that is how it would appear.
For the first television interview of a United States President, you would think that a President would come out to the people of his country. You'd think that he would call them his family, that he would reassure them during these tough times, that he would be convincing us of his stake in the well being of the United States.
Apparently this was the furthest thing from our President's mind. Instead he spoke to the Muslim world, communicating instead that "The United States has a stake in the well being of the Muslim world." Over and over again he brought out that he has Muslim members in his family, something that he tried to cover over and over again during this past election. Then he went on to state that his job as President is to "Communicate to the American people that the Muslim world is filled with extraordinary people who simply want to live their lives and see their children live better lives."
Since when was this the President's job? Not to mention, I feel highly insulted that Obama has such a bad view of Americans. It's like he felt he had to go apologize to the Arabs for the "bad behavior" of a naughty child. I can't speak for you, but I’m no naughty child!
Now after President Obama's speech was completed, which by the way took place so late at night in the U.S. that no one really knew about it until the next day, the Arabs got excited. In fact, Reza Aslan, who is an Islam apologist went on CNN to comment on how "giddy" he was about the interview and how Obama was putting himself in place to be a "Bridge between the Muslim world, between the United States and the Middle East."
I'm extremely disappointed that our President feels the need to go placate the Arab world, while leaving his own country in troublesome times. There were no words of comfort to Americans dealing with hard economic times. No assurances to Americans that their next paycheck was going to be there. It's like this man became the diplomat to the entire Arab world instead of President of the United States.
While I'm not opposed to reaching out to other's around the world, the last thing we need is a "back patting" session with the Arabs right now. Our president doesn't need to be spending his time reassuring them - he has a country to run.
So, excuse me Mr. President…it's me…the United States of America. If your family reunion is now over, can you please come back and run our country? (probably not)

"I Have a Dream" - Is Obama Fulfilling the Dream or Creating a Nightmare?
Since the inauguration of President Obama has taken place, there have been many blogs and articles written, not to mention newscasts, that mention the idea that Obama is our first African America president. While I'm not sure he actually qualifies as a true "African American" he is part white and part Kenyan, meaning he is the first half Kenyan to take the office of President of the United States.
In any case, this truly has been a historic event. It does prove how far this country has come since the civil rights movement first began to take place. I definitely must sit back and ponder the significance of the event; however, when I look at the man that has been a part of this historic event, Barack Obama, I must admit to being disappointed. After all, I, as Dr. Martin Luther King, had big dreams of how it would be when the first African American became president. I had visions of an African American that really ran on the "dream" that Dr. King once had.
If you take a look at those who were deeply involved in the civil rights movement, the ones that Obama likes to identify himself with, you'll find that they were people of deep integrity. Take the time to research some of the names of those who participated in the civil rights movement. There were men like Jessie Owens who would show the world his character and equality in the Olympic Games in Berlin, even though he was greatly attacked for his color. Of course Dr. King himself was a well respected reverend with integrity and high ideals.
For a minute take a look at one line from Dr. King's speech. Most people don't look far beyond the "I have a dream" phrase. Read a bit further. Dr. King states, "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Here is the crux of the matter. People should be judged by their character. We should be looking at the content of character that people have, not the color of their skin. Well, let me ask you this - what exactly is the content of Barack Obama's character? How many people even have stopped to look beyond the color of his skin to ask about his character?
Sure, politicians like to bring up Martin Luther King when he fits their agenda. So, why did we never hear much about the "content of character" where it pertained to Barack Obama in the 2008 election? No one wanted to explore the bad associations of Obama, they only wanted to look at him as some type of "Savior" or "Messiah" figure who they thought would solve the nation's problems. After all, when interviews were done of random people in New York City, most of them knew little of Obama, and many had never heard the name of his running mate Biden. This lets you know how much Americans have been taking the time to judge men by character.
So, what exactly do we know about the content of Obama's character? Well, let me clue you in to what you may not know.
Look at Obama's character, and you'll find that the socialism runs deep. You can't get around it - socialism is a part of his character. The evidence is clear. He has actually had endorsements from socialists groups in past elections that he ahs won. One group, the New Party supported him in 1996 when he was running for a state senate seat in the state of Illinois. This New Party actually is a branch of what is known as the Communist Party USA.
Another thing you'll find out about Obama's character when you take a close look is that he's associated with cheaters. Take a look at ACORN. Obama used ACORN as a part of his "Get out the vote" during this past election. This is a group that has been proven to cheat.
You'll also find that Obama hangs out with thieves - another look at his true character. After all, consider his relationship with the former CEO of Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines. This man helped to destroy Fannie Mae and walked away a rich man. This eventually ended up leading to the crash of the national economy. Raines walked away with $90 million in tax payers' money after being fired, then became a consultant on housing issues for Obama's campaign. This is a man that Obama calls a closer advisor????
Take another look at Obama's inauguration festivities. You'll quickly find he's really not a big friend of the poor. In fact, the party and festivities came to more than $170 million dollars. Yes, you read that right! No how many Americans could have been helped with that money? People can't pay their mortgage, can't buy food, can't afford clothing, and this man spends millions on his party. Now that's some character.
Start looking into Obama's close friends, and you'll learn more about his character. To name a few of his friends and associates, you'll find he has had relationships with Tony Rezko, Governor Blagojevich, Bill Ayers, and Jeremiah Wright. His role models include socialists like Saul Alinsky. It's often been said that you can tell a whole lot about a man by the company he keeps. Well, Obama's associates speak for themselves.
Sadly in this past election we have seen race become more important than character. Unfortunately, although we have a "half black" man in office, we still have not realized the "Dream" that Martin Luther King had. Character has now taken second place to race. It's sad that today we still have not figured out the meaning of what Dr. King had to say. If you look beyond race to character, Obama definitely comes up short. So, this is no dream coming true for Americans today - it's the start of what I fear will be a very long nightmare.
"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." - Dr. King

Back After a Hiatus
Hi there to all my readers.
I know it's been some time since I have posted. Unfortunately, due to medical difficulties I've been unable to post for sometime. However, we're back and ready to get back into the groove again. Stay tuned for political information geared specifically to conservatives, and especially the conservative women out there today.
Now, before I close, I just have to make a few political comments. Since my last post, Barack Obama has become our president, and I must say I'm already upset at the way he is running his administration. Let me give you a few examples.
First of all, he has a tax evader as a part of his cabinet, Geithner. This man will be overseeing money and treasury affairs and advising the president, yet he skipped out on his taxes to the tune of thousands. President Obama...what exactly were you thinking? Oh yes...that's right...you weren't.
Another issue is the closing of the prisons in Guantanamo Bay. Now we're bringing the terrorists here. Some of them are going to get away with their crimes. Since when did we give terrorists special rights? It's war time...they attacked our country...our people died...and now Obama is going to make sure they get "fair" treatment.
Let's not forget the Mexico City Policy, which is a ban on the funding for international groups that fund abortions. Within his first two days, Obama lifted this ban so that now we can give our governments money to international groups to help out with abortions around the world. How sick!!! It's not enough to kill babies in our country, but now we are funding it around the world? No wonder we are in an economic crisis.
With these three bad decisions that have been made already, I'm a bit leery of the future with Obama as our president. Within two days the man made two disastrous decisions that are despicable. What's next?
